A friend who’s a linguist seemed to suggest it might be prudent to learn easy/crucial grammar and words, then more complicated ones, and so on. Though I suppose that’s what I’ll be doing in September, I am considering supplementing current A1 wordlist with hand-made “words that are important” lists and beginning grammar early.

No formal practise today. Uh-oh, let’s not set a precedent.

Words learned indirectly (aka from Minecraft):

• Das Glück - luck
• Die Tür - door
• Das Ziel - destination/goal/aim … and achievement in Minecraft?
• viel - a great deal of? is “viel Glück” “good luck”?
• Der Tisch - table/desk
• Der Zauber - magic/spell
• Die Stufe - step/stair/terrace/stage/degree and slab in Minecraft
• Das Holz - wood
• Die Eiche - oak
• Das Eichenholz - oak wood (hrmmm, where is this from)
